Ingredients:
Beef Tallow: The base of our whip is rendered down beef fat, also know as tallow. We use grass-fed beef tallow that is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. These vitamins help nourish the skin. For this reason, tallow has been used throughout history as a natural moisturizer. In the modern world however, not all tallow is created equally. Tallow from grain-fed cows doesn’t have nearly the same amount of vitamins that grass-fed tallow has. This is also why we render our tallow at low temperatures. Rendering at high temperatures will lead to the tallow losing some of it’s nutritional benefits. This will also happen if you “purify” your tallow to remove the odor. Yes, the slight odor will be gone, but so will some of it’s precious nutrients!
Aloe Vera Gel: Instead of olive oil, this product is made with aloe vera gel. The original intent was to pair the benefits from aloe with those from tallow to make a sunburn relief balm. Instead we’ve found people enjoy this as their everyday skin moisturizer, though it’s still great for sunburns too!
Scent: Currently, we only offer our tallow aloe in unscented. This means there is no additional scent added, though there is a slight scent from the aloe.
